Castelvecchio was one of the oldest and important Castle of the Cavalcanti family, hence the name, that means old castle
As from 1960, Castelvecchio is a family-run estate producing wine and extra virgin olive oil. Nowadays the farm is run by Filippo and Stefania, brother and sister. The property extends over 73 hectares, including 30 hectares of vineyards and 20 hectares of olive groves. The vineyards are located at an altitude of between 250 and 350 meters above sea level.

Maceration and Fermentation
Gentle pressing, clarification of the must and further fermentation in stainless steel at a temperature that never exceeds 16°. Ageing in cement vat for 7 months, then bottled.
