Poggio al Chiuso is an old winery, run by three brothers Marco, Matteo and Andrea. Their great-gran father started back in 1930.
They have eight hectares of vineyard that surround the family home and they produce six different wines and, of course, Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Poggio al Chiuso is a place where tradition and innovation are perfectly combined together.
Grapes: 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo, 5% Trebbiano
Fermentation: the must after a few hours of fermentation on the skins is racked and aged at low temperature in steel vats until spring
Aromas: elegant notes of roses, cherries and red fruits.
Taste: the taste is fresh, harmonious, soft and full-bodied
Pairing: Great for aperitifs and tapas, croutons, bruschetta. Its structure and acidity make it an excellent pairing with Sushi, fish or sauces based on white meat pasta/rice or light pizzas with vegetables and fresh ingredients.
Serving temperature: 10-12° Celcius (50-53,6° Fahrenheit), we suggest to keep it outside the fridge for a few minutes before serving
